It's all about the JAZZ!!!
i love the saxophone
The saxophone was invented to replace an instrument called the ophicleide. Before the saxophone, the ophicleide was the only woodwind instrument fit to
play in the military band, (marching band), but it didn’t have a pretty sound. It was in the 1840’s when Adolphe
Sax decided to make a woodwind instrument that was fit for the marching band, could play as loud as the brass instruments,
and had a good sound as well. Way to go Adolphe!!!
It's probably the easiest or one of the easiest instruments to play but the hardest to play
WELL. to be good you gotta practice. to be great you gotta love it.

*you know you're good when you can play really really fast
*you know you're really good when you can play with a super good tone
*and you know you're pro when you can do both
my favorite saxophone players are bird parker, and trane..
doesn't get much better than these guys. the classics baby! haha. there's also sonny
rollins, stan getz, harvey pittel (even though he's not real nice..he's got an awesome tone), and Kenny G even though he just copies other people's stuff most of the time

The best saxophone in the universe is Harvey Dallas Smith. He is a big bell cannonball stone
series. Gold body, and silver unlaquered bell and neck. best looking, best tone, and built just right. His birthday is May
13th, 2005 and he has a whole family.
